Slash's "Jessica"

This painting is of "Jessica". One of the 88 standards that Slash owns. The guitar was one of his main guitars he played on the road for many years. And as you can see it bares the scars of quite a life. It was also one of my personal favorites to paint. And probably one of the most accurate as far as the wear that it shows. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Van Halen's "Frankinstrat"

Arguably one of the most recognizable guitars ever played, Eddie's Frankenstrat went through many phases to reach what you see now. And if you read the history of this unique guitar, Eddie painted it several times. To achive the painting you see  here. I had to paint every layer that he did because he never really stripped it each time he repainted the guitar. So, the only way to get the true effect of being able to see all the layers of each paint job was to paint each one on top of the last just like he did.

James Hetfield

This knock off flying V has plenty of history. Hatfield speaks about it in his book explaining the impact it had on him and his career. For me this guitar represents the Metallica I grew up with. I don't think there was a kid alive back then that didn't have at least one of there t-shirts. This painting is also available in a PG version.
